The Runetech Archives: Bronze & Blood

Bronze & Blood is a noir-infused dark fantasy set in an alternate-1980s, half-drowned, aether-powered Portland, Oregon. It follows Fadelias “Fade” Corven, a Resonant runetech who can see and feel the currents of magic threaded through the sinking city’s bones. When he’s framed as an accessory to murder, his attempt to clear his name only drags him deeper into a conspiracy involving mob family secrets, forbidden experiments, and a rising cult devoted to an ancient entity stirring beneath the depths.

As Fade hunts for the truth, he must navigate a world where every rune has a cost — and some secrets were never meant to surface.

A blend of urban noir, arcane engineering, and creeping cosmic horror, Bronze &Blood launches the world of The Runetech Archives.

  • Soon! The first book in the series is currently on track for an early 2026 release.

  • Absolutely. Book two is already outlined, and book three is taking shape in my notes. As long as this world keeps sparking new stories in my head, I’ll keep putting them on the page.

  • Plenty. I’ve always been an avid reader, constantly absorbing new worlds and the craft behind them. A few influences that immediately come to mind are The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher for its sharp noir voice, The Sunder City series by Luke Arnold for its blend of magic and grit, and The Call of Cthulhu by H. P. Lovecraft for its creeping sense of cosmic dread. These works helped shape the tone and atmosphere of The Runetech Archives—while the world, characters, and story remain entirely my own.
