Hello, I’m Nick Strom
Art Director, Creative Lead, multimedia producer, and lifelong builder of ideas. For more than a decade, I’ve helped organizations turn concepts into brands, content, and creative systems that support real business goals.
My career has taken me across branding, design, video, motion, print, digital content, and creative leadership. I’ve worked hands-on throughout that entire process while also leading teams, managing complex projects, partnering with clients and stakeholders, and helping organizations build more consistent and effective creative.
Today, I bring that experience to both creative leadership opportunities and independent client work, combining strategic thinking with the ability to roll up my sleeves and make the work happen.
My Background
✓ 10+ years of creative experience
✓ 8+ years leading creative teams and initiatives
✓ Led and mentored an 8-person multidisciplinary creative team
✓ Delivered 80+ projects annually across digital, print, motion, and video
✓ Experience spanning branding, multimedia production, marketing, and creative operations
✓ Business and accounting background that connects creative decisions with operational goals
My career has included roles ranging from hands-on designer and multimedia producer to Art Director and creative team leader. Along the way, I’ve learned that strong creative work isn’t just about making something look good. It’s about aligning creative decisions with business goals, managing people and resources effectively, and delivering consistent work that moves an organization forward.
What I Believe
Creative work should solve a problem, not just look good.
Strong brands are built through clarity and consistency.
Small, focused teams can do exceptional work with the right direction and processes.
Good creative leadership gives people clarity, removes obstacles, and makes the work better.
Beyond Work
Outside of client and creative work, I’m usually building something of my own. That might mean writing, video production, illustration, motorcycles, tabletop games, or experimenting with new creative tools and technology.
I’ve always been drawn to projects that combine storytelling, design, and problem-solving, and that curiosity tends to carry over into the way I approach professional creative work as well.
Let’s Talk
Whether you’re looking for an experienced creative leader to join your team or need independent creative support for a project or initiative, I’d love to hear what you’re working on.
